DescriptionAfter six months which they had been declared "lost" by FedEx, recently the two strips appeared on eBay. Many friends-collectors have written to me and Robert to report it. And here we thank them heartily.The seller on eBay, which obviously did not know anything about the provenance, has been very cooperative and returned the strips without asking anything. At the eBayauction both strips have been sold. One to Robert Pistella and the other to a collector who overbid Robert. The good news is that when this collector has known the whole story withdrew its winning-bid and leave back the strip to the seller so that he could return with the other to us. Good guy! So in the end, everything's all right. I was really sorry that the two strips were lost ... not so much for me, but they were really two jewels, with a beautiful Pagan Lee, came from the hand of the great Raymond. But now they are back to us. Thanks to all those of you that followed and participated emotionally in this story. And this shows that CAF is also useful to find the missing original. Social/Sharing |

Amen brother!! They went missing in transit from a Fed Ex depot. Fed Ex was frankly wholly uncooperative. Thank God they turned up and they are now in the hands of the long suffering owner.

Fantastic news! My hat's off to the cooperative eBay seller who handed them back to you. Sounds like he/she's a victim in this as well, though I guess it pays to find out as much as possible when purchasing high quality artwork

Very intersting story, yes I totally agree with the usefulness of CAF! The pages are also really wonderful.
