Description
These two beautiful Rip Kirby dailies featuring Pagan Lee at sea were lost (or stolen)on U.S. soil while they were travelling in the "hands" of FedEx, from Rob Pistella to me.

After six months had disappeared, recently they appeared on eBay. Many friends-collectors have written to me and Robert to report it. And here we thank them heartily.
The seller on eBay, which obviously did not know anything about the provenance, has been very cooperative and returned the strips without asking anything.
So in the end, all right.
I was really sorry that the two strips were lost ... not so much for me, but they were really two jewels, with a beautiful Pagan Lee, from the hand of the great Raymond.
Eventually they come back.
Thanks to all of you that were interested in this story.
And this shows that CAF is also useful to find the missing original.

Oh wow!!! I love these two strips! What did FedEx say in their defense? It had to have tracking numbers...

To Thomas and all friends who wrote about this bad story. The shipping originated in New Jersey and in order to go to Europe instead to go directly to JFK airport was redirected to FedEx headquarter in Memphis (?!) And there the troubles began... This was early October 2015. After dozens of mails by me and also by Robert Pistella eventually on October 29th the shipping was declared "lost". In other words they could not dedicate any more time to search for it... Could be that someday it pop-ups in Bejing or Sidney or in the Death Valley, but nobody will look for it anymore. My hope is that somebody find this parcel, open it and try to sell the strips... End of the story. Thanks for your comments. Maurizio

Very sorry! I had a Wrightson lost by USPS for over 2 weeks, they said it could not be found and it showed up at my door the next day. I hope the same for you, however I'll keep an eye out for sure. Won't be hard to miss these beauties!

Not the first instance of art lost in transit I've heard about on CAF. These strips are beautiful, I hope you recover them both very soon.
