Karate Kid vs. Silver Sable by Steven Butler and Simon Gough

I always liked Silver Sable from her appearances in Spider-Man comics, and when she got her own title in the 90�s, I was happy to buy it. Steven Butler was the artist on that book, and I quickly became a fan of his work. Steven is THE artist I associate with Silver, so when I added her to my Karate Kid opponent list, I immediately added Steven�s name right beside her. When I saw that Steven would be attending Wizard World New Orleans 2011, I contacted him beforehand and set up this commission. And the piece looks fantastic! I love that Steven had them fighting at Silver's castle in Symkaria, as I so rarely get detailed backgrounds on these commissions. Many years later I sent this commission over to Simon Gough to color, and as usual, he did a stellar job! Big thanks again to Steven for drawing this for me and Simon for coloring it!

Since Silver is well-armed for this fight, so she might last more than a minute. She�s a great fighter, but Val Armorr just outclasses her. He would defeat her, and then she would probably offer him a job as a member of her Wild Pack. Because business is more important than pride.

Really wish I could have gone. Butler's work is very very good.

It was a very fun show. I only wish I could have gone for both days so I could have gotten more sketches.
