Description

Though best known in the comics industry for his work as a letterer, Chris Eliopoulos is a cartoonist as well, and more than a decade ago, he published some comics collecting a number of his Desperate Times strips. He'd later go on to draw and co-write Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius comics for Marvel, which clearly drew heavy inspiration from Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes. Above are a couple of his Desperate Times characters; pet sloth Kennedy (so named for his more debaucherous qualities) offers a belch powerful enough to qualify for an ouch-able moment.

Obtained at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2000.
