DescriptionFrom the 1965 story "The Birth of Aquababy!" Mera discovers she's pregnant AND gives birth to Aquababy all in the same 1-issue story. Wow, talk about condensed storytelling. Clearly other-dimensional ocean-dwellers and Atlantean hybrids have short gestation periods and loooooooong childhoods. Aquababy, shortly after birth, creates a sea creature that attacks Aquaman. No love for papa. This page is very similar in tone and content to Cardy's cover to the issue.Large art, 14" x 20.5" Social/Sharing |

Not much in terms of backgrounds since it's all water. But I like how Nick was always able to portray motion and movement in these stories.

Nice pickup Kro. A good specimen of Cardy art. As for the background comment, hard for the page to have much background when the panels are already filled with the characters!

The story-telling may not have been the strongest but the great Cardy art more than makes up for it
