Description

Who could have dreamed that the Black Panther and Doctor Strange would ever have been involved in such an explosive encounter? Dare to dream, True Believer. And fight they did, over one of the segments of the Evil Eye, a device that Dormammu and Loki had tricked the Defenders into believing would be needed to rescue the Black Knight. Of course, the Defenders acquired every piece, and in this issue it was a contest between Strange and the pairing of the Black Panther and Mantis to win this prize. Strange has to rescue the stricken Wakandan in the process. I love the blocky shading that McLaughlin uses on Strange�s outfit in the middle panel, to emphasize the light of the blast from the Eye of Agamotto.
