Description

Mike Maihack is the cartoonist of Cleopatra in Space, a science-fiction adventure story. It started as a webcomic and is now published by Scholastic's Graphix. I first saw some examples of his art on his deviantart site. I bought a few things from his Operation Space Cat store. When the American Library Association Annual Conference was in San Francisco in 2015, I got the chance to meet Mike in person. I saw him at the San Mateo Library last year and Mike drew remarques in my Cleopatra books. He's hard at work completing Book Six now. I looked over his offerings online and decided to pick up two more of his Inktober girls. This image looks like a fashion shot.

Love seeing Mike's take on more "normal" sketches. I'm not sure how intentional it was, but I'm getting a Kate Bishop Hawkeye vibe from this piece. Anyways, I may have to pick up one of these sketches now. Thanks for sharing!
