DescriptionThe cover is inspired by the main story of the issue, " Paperino conquistatore vichingo" (Donald Duck Viking conqueror), a sort of prequel to one of Carl Barks' most loved and celebrated stories, "The Golden Helmet" (I commissioned a piece to Francesco D'Ippolito, see here the amazingly beautiful result).The story, written by Riccardo Secchi and illustrated by Francesco Guerrini, sees a Viking Donald sailing to the West, reaching North America and meeting the Pigmy Indians. Coming to the cover, the ocean, Vikings, a giant sea creature... what's not to love? Everything I could ever want in a piece is there (magnificently illustrated by Freccero) ^_^ Not my first menacing giant octopus, see here Fabio Celoni's illustration inspired by Luciano Bottaro's Donald Duck on Treasure Island.
