Description

Cover dated June 1998. I believe this series was the first time that I saw John Cassaday’s artwork. While it’s not yet up to the level of what we got a short time later with “Planetary”, looking back you can see some seeds of what was to come. The bottom panel in particular on this page shows the flying characters in poses that you didn’t typically see at the time.

I got this page a few years ago at NYCC at Albert Moy’s booth. I had been on Albert’s website the week before looking to buy a page from this series, but I didn’t see any available that I wanted. I was thrilled when I found this page at his booth since it wasn’t on the website.
