DescriptionPaul Gulacy drew this great Captain America image for our first comic book convention- OhioCon '75. It was held the same weekend that Saturday Night Live debuted! Guests included Gulacy, Val Mayerik, P. Craig Russell, Walt Simonson and Al Milgrom. Al was nice enough to bring along a stack of comics pages that he drew with Jim Starlin to be displayed in our art show. The pages were each signed "Gemini" (Jim and I). The Paul Gulacy image seen here is a detail from our OhioCon '75 poster. It was also imprinted on t-shirts that we sold at the convention. Those shirts would be solid collector's items today (if you could find one). Social/Sharing |

Very nice slice of convention history outside of the big two. Gulacy's art is still wonderful to look at after all these years.
