DescriptionThe year 1991 introduced me to The Punisher and I just couldn't get enough of this non-caped, non-super powered (anti-)hero who cleaned up the streets the way Stallone and Schwarzenegger did. School's out for summer break, it's August my birthday month, no classroom celebrations for me, but Big Pun brought the cake, sparklers, and fireworks with The Punisher Summer Special #1 featuring four tales of payback in a double-sized issue.I really have to show a lot of thanks to my good pal Jason S. who made it possible for me to pick up this nostalgic page. This eBay auction was sold as a lot of two pages FRAMED with the cover and the two published pages. Imagine how big that frame was. The seller was charging $200 for shipping alone, but it turned out that Jason lived about 45 minutes from the seller and offered to pick it up in person for me. I contacted the seller about a local pickup and he agreed to hand it over to Jason if I won the auction. From there the auction was mine to lose. Surely their parents must of known if you call your kids Bugsy and Legs there is a good chance they will lead a life of crime. Either that or play on a water polo team.

Well, I've been lookin' real hard
And in auctions to find some art
But it just keeps gettin' tougher every day
But I got to bid my part
'Cause I know in my heart
I won a piece that’s framed crazy, yeah
Well, I ain't superstitious
And I don't get suspicious
But my Jason S’s a friend of mine
And I know that it's true
Did all the things that he could
Will ship Frank to me those Val’s sweet lines

Killer page! Beautiful visual storytelling from the opening scene to the last panel. Powerful pencils by Val Meyerik and stunning inks by Armando Gil. Great pick-up!
