DescriptionLet me start by saying that I've been enjoying the Superman Space Age series. It strikes me as one of those event series that only comes around every so often, like "Superman for All Seasons", "All-Star Superman" or "Birthright"I watched the CAF show and sale with Mike Allred after it had debuted and as soon as I saw this piece I listened and watched closely till the end of the show to see if someone had claimed it. After giving it a bit of thought I finally reached out and snagged it. Mike's rep told me he wished it hadn't sold because he had considered purchasing it himself. A very retro image possibly inspired by the cover of Superman #18? (see additional image). It hasn't been used as of yet for a cover in the Space Age series, but it was the only one of two pieces available since Mike decided to keep all the rest of the art from the series. So I feel lucky to have it. Social/Sharing |

This is a magical and timeless piece - congrats on being smarter than me in snagging it!

Thank you Simon for hesitating. And I appreciate your help in facilitating the sale.

Move over Strangelove! Fun pick up!
I was wondering when the Dr. Strangelove reference would come in. Pretty quick

A great piece, Lee. The only thing I'm wondering though, is if Superman is riding Fat Man or Little Boy?
