Another example of Joe’s storytelling chops.

Every page in this short 16 page story is a self-contained and time-stamped, taking place over a 24 hour period - which was given to Hal by the Guardians to tidy-up his affairs before he has to leave Earth. This is punishment for the reckless behavior that led to him being controlled to lead the Anti-Green Lantern Corps in #150.

Here, Joe stretches out the drama across nine horizontal panels as Carol’s dad Carl fights to recover evidence from a bad guy he thinks will save Ferris Aircraft from financial ruin. (In my other post today, Joe pencils out three vertical panels with no dialogue).
