DescriptionDay 05. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!Happy Cinco de Mando! Fiiiiive gooooold riiiiings, or in this case five pages from Marvel's The Mandalorian adaptation of the Disney+ streaming series. Mando has dodged a New Republic X-Wing patrol but the Razor Crest is downed and damaged in an ice cave on a Hoth-like planet. Mando might have doomed them to an even worse fate than arrest. His passenger, referred to only as the Frog Lady, is not happy but has no way to convey this as she doesn't speak Basic, and Mando doesn't speak Frog. That is until she discovers the remains of Q9-0, the ill-tempered droid pilot Mando dispatched in season 1 episode 6. Hacking into the droid's vocabulator and speaking in Zero’s voice (provided once again by the oh so talented Richard Ayoade), beginning here and continuing on the following page, she essentially tells him he needs to get his act together and live up to their agreement. “I thought honoring one’s word was a part of the Mandalorian code,” she says. “I guess those are just stories for children.” C'mon Mando, you are better than this. Frog Lady fever!!! Haha it's funny recalling how that episode was controversial because Baby Yoda (at the time) ate some Frog eggs
