DescriptionI'm selling this page at the September 12 - 14 Heritage Comic Art Signature Auction #7436. I will remove it after the sale. ThanksThis is page 17 from the June 1975 issue titled "The ghost that haunted Octopus". Spiderman is now in full pursuit of Doc Ock who has absconded with Aunt May After an attack in Mays home by the disembodied villain "Hammerhead". In true cartoon villain fashion, The Ghost of Hammerhead exclaims "I'm not gonna ruin ya Doc, I'm gonna destroy ya and anyone ya care about as well!" After which Doc grabs Aunt May with his tentacles and runs for the hills. Spider-man gives chase and he and Doc battle with Aunt May in tow. Edit: Fellow CAF member Reggie C. kindly informed me that after publication of this issue readers were treated to an especially hilarious surprise when Spider-man misjudges his landing and bursts through A young women's apartment window seemingly without any pants on. The printing error has his lower half and legs in white tones rather than his traditional blue bottoms making Spidey look as if he's barreling half nude through the shocked young woman's room. In turn she sic's her attack dog on spider-man. LoL! Social/Sharing |

Andru was my absolute favorite Spidey artist. Excellent piece, congrats!

Awesome page from a very beloved issue from my youth. Thanks so much for sharing. As every true Andru fan knows, this page features the naked Spider-Man, as the colors in the printed comic are flesh tone on his legs in that fourth panel, making Spidey look like he has no pants on. Andru will always be My Spider-Man artist!

Thank-you Reggie for commenting and for sharing that information. I ordered a copy off of ebay to witness for myself Spidey streaking naked through a young women's bedroom (lol). I apreciate the insight!
