Description

With the art from MARVEL's early Star Wars issues spread far and wide about the globe, there can't be THAT many examples of sequential storytelling to be found.

I'm not certain that Tom Palmer was a good inking match with Infantino. This issue felt a bit odd and stiff to me when first read, and still does now.

I ordered the corresponding issue of Star Wars Monthly to see if they were still liberally using Zipatone on their B&W publications, but it looks like the 'tonist' position had been discontinued.

Still: STAR DESTROYERS!

I think it was Infantino who had the stiff lines at this point in his career as Palmer was the one trying more to have the likeness of Lando.  This is just two issues after the ESB adaptation and we get to know more about Lando when most peope were still mad at him.  The Imperial Fleet looks impossible to defeat here.

Palmer was so good with the likenesses. Those Star Destroyers are flying awfully close to one another, though that was common in the films too.

I always enjoyed the issues where our heroes got a solo story, and this one focused on Lando not long after ESB was no exception. And consecutive pairings are a hard achievement, congrats!
