Description

In this finale issue of this five-issue story arc (where we find out that Rek-Rap is alive & kicking after being impaled by Green Goblin's glider -- whew!), there is an epic battle between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, as Norman's sins/evil bounce from one to the other.

Finally, with the help of the Walking Brain's disembodied head and thanks to Peter's utter refusal to ever give up, Spidey is able to total expel himself from the grip of the Goblin's madness & sins.

And this is the DPS where it happens.

WOW! I mean ... wow. I absolutely love the imagery on this double page splash. Beautifully penciled by Ed McGuinness and stunningly inked by Wade von Grawbadger.

On the next page, the sins of Norman float towards Norman in total dismay from losing Peter's light, and dying, they fizzle out just before they can reach Norman. So ... that's it for Norman's sins ... at least for a while.

WHAT A GREAT 5-ISSUE STORY ARC!!

Wow! A giant-headed Green Goblin, with terrified people living inside his mouth, sending an optic blast at a very McFarlane-esque Spider-Man while sins abound and all in the stylings of McGuinness & Von Grawbadger?!? Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

If you want a high quality DPS artist then Ed McGuinness is your man! I can't think of any DPS that I have seen from Ed that wasn't impressive and this piece is no exception!!!

What an incredibly strong image of Spidey there. It's a pose we've definitely seen before, but McGuinness exercises his creativity with the webbing and the overall composition of the piece. You're really crushing it with these McGuinness Spidey pickups!

Begone! Killer representation of the expulsion. I like that lead up with the 3 panels at the top left into the huge GG head. Then of course we gots to have some classic swingin' Spidey :) I can see why you picked up as many pieces as you did from this arc, Paul...hit after hit from Ed! Congrats!
