Description

The art from Steve Cuzor's adaptation of The Red Badge of Courage is so damn good I'm hoping it induces me to learn French!

In all seriousness, Cuzor is in another league when it comes to dynamic use of light and shade to set mood and advance his story.

Steve Cuzor is such an amazing talent. This page is total evidence of his genius. Would love to see this gem in person one day Chris.

Hi Sean, “Le Combat d'Henry fleming” title in French, is an adaptation of Stephen Crane's “Red Badge of Courage”. It was published in France in February 2024. It will be published in the US by AbramsBook on May 13, 2025.

Beautiful illustration work! You feel the cold stillness of the setting underneath the dark shadowed cover of the woods. So many great panels that could each be a chapter break illustration.
