Absolutely breathtaking detail showing the ruins of an embattled city as the backdrop to this savage, terminal Hulk versus Abomination battle.

This is a Hulk who does not hold back...

Pencils by Hitch at his peak, not a brush stroke, expression or gesture wasted. Everything works in stunningly panoramic vistas, reminiscent of the best James Cameron scenes. Inked to perfection by Neary at a point when he was the top man to bring out the best in Hitch's remarkable skills.

Thanks Anthony! I agree, that last image is nuts - savage and it really stays with you! I remember this DPS from when the Ultimates finale came out nearly 20 years ago and I can hardly believe I had this iconic battle in my collection now!

I've been on a sabatical from buying new art for awhile so I'm not following the auctions (to avoid temptation.) But if I had known this was up on HA, I would've gone for it as well! Great score, congrats!
