DescriptionOne of the most amazing and brutal sequences in the history of the Ultimates!Absolutely breathtaking detail showing the ruins of an embattled city as the backdrop to this savage, terminal Hulk versus Abomination battle. This is a Hulk who does not hold back... Pencils by Hitch at his peak, not a brush stroke, expression or gesture wasted. Everything works in stunningly panoramic vistas, reminiscent of the best James Cameron scenes. Inked to perfection by Neary at a point when he was the top man to bring out the best in Hitch's remarkable skills. Social/Sharing |

Thanks Anthony! I agree, that last image is nuts - savage and it really stays with you! I remember this DPS from when the Ultimates finale came out nearly 20 years ago and I can hardly believe I had this iconic battle in my collection now!

Hi Tony! Well, thanks for letting me have it - and I salute your good taste, it's quite phenomenal even by Hulk standards! It's gone to a good home!

I've been on a sabatical from buying new art for awhile so I'm not following the auctions (to avoid temptation.) But if I had known this was up on HA, I would've gone for it as well! Great score, congrats!

Glad you could stop by to enjoy this gorgeous piece, Tony! This one's a personal Grail for me as a huge fan of Hitch's Ultimates runs, especially his amazing depiction of the Hulk. He's rarely been more savage!
