Description

I have loved The Demon since Matt Wagner's mini-series back in the 1980s. I am lucky to own a page from that series with Jason Blood but not with Etrigan. I have never commissioned Matt for anything, so at OAX 2025 I decided on two commissions and this was the first obvious choice.

I asked for The Demon at Tintagel Castle, which today is in ruins, but back during King Arthur's time likely looked like this. Extremely grateful to Matt and to Jim Warden for making this piece of magic happen!

Really nice with the layers of coloring and tones to resemble more of a painting.

Looks a heck of a lot different from the work he did on the Demon mini-series, but fun nonetheless!

Wagner killed it! The red really pop against the overall black/grey palette. Congrats!
