Absolutely beautiful Pogo comic strip by the amazing Walt Kelly! Pogo was one of the most beautifully drawn comic strips ever. Kelly was a Disney animator before he created comic strips and you can see his skill at drawing comical versions of animals is second to none. I love the elephant in the tree here. You can almost imagine it moving in an animated cartoon. But not only was Kelly a skilled penciller, his inking was almost better than his pencils. Very few comic artists ever have achieved the level of Walt Kelly's inking. This is a fabulous example of Kelly's work. Sincere congrats on a fantastic pick-up!
