Deals with Monty B run smooth. A lot more smooth than in the strip which is a non starter!

The thing I've always admired about Walt Kelly is the imagination he put into every Pogo comic strip. Even though his strip is filled with animals, they are always concerned with human issues. In this strip the characters are engaded in the question will March come in like a lion or a lamb? And to decide that question, the characters stage a race between the two. Absurd humor was a trademark of Pogo. But so was gorgeous art. IMHO, Walt Kelly was one of the finest artists to work in comic strips. This is a great example. Marvelous pick-up congrats!
