Description

From Spiegelman's early, surreal work, "Thumbware over the Rainbow" stars Quentin Fester in a crazy and burlesque story. Spiegelman began featuring Fester in 1965 and he shows up in work until 1975, when Spiegelman was already moving into the more biographical work "Maus."

These pages are part of a 30-page comics underground story that was printed in 1971 by Bantam Books, in a paperback format, also featuring art by other underground artists like Kim Deitch, Trina Robbins, Spain Rodriguez and Alan Shenker.
