"Are you ... Larry?" I focus my collecting on two broad but specific areas: early '80's/90's alternative comic art and Underground comics (comix). I find common ground between these two seemingly disparate artistic areas in their influence and originality. And, as a collector, there is a specific and limited amount of the key examples of this work, so I can collect as I prefer - deep looks into narrow areas. My favorite alternative work includes Nexus, American Flagg!, Badger, Love & Rockets, Clowes, Ware and more. I have been starting to build an underground collection centered around Crumb, Spiegelman, Spain, Vaughn Bode, Gilbert Shelton, the East Village Other group, the Air Pirates and other influential artists.
