Description

A sixth entry in my "One More Issue" Project commission series, imagining what might have happened if a Golden Age hero and/or title had been given (as the name suggests) one additional issue.

Doctor Fate made his last Golden Age appearance in More Fun Comics #98, cover-dated July 1944, following a cameo in the opening and closing sequences of All-Star Comics #21 the previous month, and wasn't then seen until the Silver Age. But perhaps National/DC might have allowed him one additional story, confronting the Spectre's foe Kulak, and regaining the full Helmet Of Nabu (which - as per the retconned story in All-Star Squadron #28 some four decades later - Kulak had stolen in 1942) -- and if so, it might have looked something like this, as drawn by Robert Jones and based on Marie Severin's cover to Strange Tales #158.
