By the mid-1940s, the super-heroes were starting to fade away - Hourman's last adventure was published in 1943, Doctor Fate's in 1944, the Spectre's in 1945, Starman and Sandman in 1946. By 1949, even the headliners - Flash and Green Lantern - were gone, along with the characters - Hawkman, Atom, Dr Mid-Nite and others - who had appeared in back-up strips in their anthology titles. And by 1951, even the Justice Society were no more, vanishing until the Silver Age revival a dozen years later. But what if the Golden Age heroes had each managed to have one more adventure? What if they'd lasted just .... One More Issue? That's the basis of this new commission project, adapting Silver Age and/or early Bronze Age covers to give characters like the Flash, Green Lantern, Atom, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Doll Man and others - probably around a dozen in total - their "One More Issue" in the Golden Age.
