Description

I love the annual Treehouse of Horror specials of The Simpsons that are generally Halloween themed anthology episodes that operate beyond the show�s normal continuity with each segment being standalone and putting the Simpson family into a science fiction, horror, or supernatural setting with numerous pop culture references.

In the opening sequence to Treehouse of Horror XXIV the Lard Lad statue comes life after being struck by lightning and begins causing destruction until he is grabbed by a giant cyclops resembling Chief Wiggum who eats him and his donut.

Wiggum�s appearance resembles the design of the cyclops from the classic 1958 fantasy film the 7th Voyage of Sinbad that was the first film with stop motion animation by Ray Harryhausen to be shot technicolor.

I was excited to have this sketch done by Bill Morrison at 2025 Megacon.

A great mashup as Chief Wiggum's personality remains the same even with the new giant Cyclops body.
