Jack Kirby-Thor #172-p10 1970 Owner: Don Emery Comment posted on 8/25/2022 The King! Everett on the King! Wonderful page. The close-up in the third panel is compelling- that arrogant, entitled face crowded in the panels to emphasise the menace he poses. I remember picking up a poor condition copy of that issue as a teenager, needing deparately to buy it, despite the cover being detached, because of the staggering quality of the artwork. Brilliant! |

Fantastic Four #28, page 12 (X-Men Crossover) (Jack Kirby and Chic Stone) Owner: Comicart Boston Comment posted on 8/25/2022 The King! That's a superb page. The X-men's raid on the Baxter Building added to the sense of mystery at the time of who the team really were. The glance out of the window in the sixth panel, and the characters dashing through their locations in parallel, show superb storytelling - it really zips along. |

Defenders (Vol 1) #55 Page 2 Owner: Thomas Tang Comment posted on 8/25/2022 Infantino's run on the Defenders is underrated, and everything Janson touched back then just turned to gold. Nice action on this page. I love the framing of the Presence's face in the third panel, cut off and partly obscured by his hand. It gives a real sense of power and majesty, as though the viewer can't quite take in the whole of this god-like being. |
