This is up there among Noto's best pieces.

At the local conventions, Adrienne and husband, DC colorist, Tony Tollin would selling their color guides.  Her back tattoo could be seen but I don't think that much of it was visible.  I remember her being very nice. 

Not a fan of the costume. However Gene Ha is a great artist. He can do a lot. 

I didn't know the FD jet was iconic. But if it is, you sure got a nice page. Love the ejection !!

Great work with the pen and brush.  Even if this exact scene wasn't depicted in Goldfinger, I hope McLusky felt some pride in influencing the look of the movie.

It was a pretty good story. And even though I think all fans thought Martha and Thomas Wayne were buried, this story depicts their ashes. Also even their ghosts appear. Thankfully, in the end, none of that actually changed what we previously understood. Great page !!

Dillin didn't do a lot of covers in this period.  And although I am not a fan of Jack Abel, he did a pretty good job on this cover.  I'm a Red Tornado fan, it's so cool to see him with DC's big 3.

It's not commonly known that Mike Sekowsky pencilled some Orgasma stories, inked by Nick.  But I'm not sure why Nick went through the trouble of doing a second version.  Also, Don Heck was also the first Orgasma artist (July 1976 issue), although Nick was actually the credited artist on that story.

Confession time... I have never seen Spaceballs. 

Have to say that Darth Vader doesn't seem so fearsome. Mainly because so many other characters look so intense. I wonder if someone that was totally Star Wars-oblivious would agree. However, this is a great homage to Episode IV.

That is some early Don Newton art.  But not so far from becoming one of the great Batman artists.

Schaffenberger was his best inker.  Such fine lines.

Great looking cover.  I see the published cover credits Dick Giordano but I don't see much DG in the art.  The thing that looks closest to Giordano is Robin's head.  The rest is really awesome but doesn't look like Giordano.
