The fact that this 1966 stuff looks so much like the comic-books, is what I find so appealing! Sure, it didn't move quite as good.. But for me too, they're much more authentic interpretations of the Marvel books. It's strange to me, that they removed all of that lovely inked feathering in the Layout, in the finished cartoon?..

I agree.. The best designs, always have a timeless quality to them!

But this is an iconic illustration of his, that was featured in 'The Art of DANIEL TORRES' book; published by NORMA Editorial, in 1995. "Keeper?.."It's the first OA, I've ever made the effort to have professionally framed. So, there's your answer! haha

She was always my favorite of the 3 hosts. But you have to remember that towards the end of the Horror titles run, "Drucilla" occasionally appeared alongside the Vault Keeper? I always saw her as something of a Vampi precursor? Her outfit was never quite as sexy..

Geof never cuts any corners, drawing-wise.. The degree of attention to detail in this panel, is extraordinary!

Essentially, it's a tribute to Rutger Hauer and his contributions to Ridley Scott's BLADE RUNNER.. He famously rewrote his "I've seen things.." speech, at the end of the film.  I can see the Mike Allred vibes, too.. Good eye!!

Benno, I realize you've got this labeled "TVP".. But Shane is actually replicating the way that Bob "Tup" Tupper used to sign his Girlie Cartoons, when they were being published in the 1950's Men's Magazines.. Shane had talked about editing a compilation book of his best cartoons, at one time. I dunno that it ever got published. But I assume this was a Layout drawing he did, as a possible cover?
