I can't agree with Mr. Finney on Murph's dominance in the first four panels... Kubert's classic layouts, including the Thanagarian star cruiser in panel 3, and particularly Hawk's head shot in panel 4 can't be dominated. Kubert's style doesn't "have to work its way into the art"....it's clearly evident from panel 1 on! Murph's inks do ad a lushness, tho, that makes this a powerful pairing! Outstanding, another to be proud of! |

When I go through the comic, I only see Adams' inking but that's just "my" opinion. I just don't want to give anyone the impression that I will like the page any less if it's actually inked by Giordano--He was awesome too, right? They were a brilliant pairing to be sure, Hiroshi! You have a true gem of a Deadman page here! Any Adams collector would be proud to own it! |
