Looking back, I wish I had gone to OAX this year for many reasons, but one of them would be getting to share our Scott Pilgrim art.  This was on my short list of pieces to get at the drop, but I ended up going after another piece instead.  Love the dynamic between Scott and Ramona here, as it perfectly captures how unbalanced their relationship often is.  Congrats on the pickup!

I was about to leave a comment on this, then skimmed and saw that Lee dropped my name into the conversation.  Anyways, congrats on getting a Frany!  Her colors are amazing to behold in person, and I can only imagine how this looks (especially with all the dark and light shades).  And there's something about how she does eyes that always gets me (and she did it here as well).

Great page, and an even greater story behind getting it.  This is one of those quiet pages that doesn't get as much attention, but the storytelling here with the vertical panels on the left is just amazing.  Huge congrats!

Great comic strip by two comic greats, and as someone not as familiar with comic history pre-silver age, I'm still amazed they worked together, on a comic strip no less.  Congrats on the pickup!

While still really early in his career, you can start to see some of the elements here that will carry through Joe Mad's art for years.  Congrats on the pickup!

Not too many pages out there of Gambit and Rogue kissing, and this is a cute little moment between the two of them.  Nice to see Rogue's hair colored in, and the gloves are a nice nod to her past (old habits die hard).  Congrats!

I considered going for this at the art drop but figured it would get too much attention for me to be first, so I'm glad you were able to pick this up!  It's a great shot of the four main ladies of the series, and it being oversized is just a bonus.  Huge congrats!

Lucas does some great work with colors (almost like digital colors), and this is a phenomenal example.  Especially love how he did her face and hair here.  Congrats!

The top two panels are the flashy ones, but I love the sequence of the bottom three panels with Nebula and the gauntlet.  Congrats!

This was one of two pieces I was thinking of bidding on from the auction- love the colors and the epic display of power from Magneto.  Congrats on the pickup!

With the way he drew the fireballs, I had to do a double take because it looked like Iceman throwing snowballs.  Either way, always nice seeing art by Mike.  Congrats!

Dragotta's exaggerated anatomy is a perfect match for DKR Batman, and he doesn't disappoint here.  Love the use of screentones here as well.  Congrats!

Never would have imagined a godzilla squirrel would work, but it really works in a cool, terrifying way.  Maybe it's seeing a reptilian texture on what's normally a furry rodent, but this turned out great.  Congrats!

While inspired by the Cassaday cover, I think it might actually be better by having Jean (or Dark Phoenix, more accurately) holding back Scott's blasts instead of Emma, in a cool nod to the Dark Phoenix Saga (as Marcus already detailed).  Also love that it's a much warmer color palette than the original cover with its cool blues.  Congrats!

I initially didn't even give this piece a second thought, and it wasn't until Jim posted about it that I went back and appreciated how it mixes the futuristic/mechanical bits with the more traditional/mythological elements.   It's a pretty cool combination on display here, so congrats on the pickup!

This is one of my favorite splashes from Joe Mad's Uncanny run as well- loved seeing his take on the original 5 vs Magneto (in an killer pose).  I remember you had this up before and am glad to see it back up on CAF.  Congrats, and thanks for sharing!

I vaguely remember the opportunity to get drawn into Tokyo Ghost, and for some reason, I thought that the people who were drawn into the page had first refusal to buy the actual art (but I guess not).  I thought I saw this page up on CAF years ago (presumably with one of the individuals who appeared on the page... at least, that's how I remember the connection), but glad to hear that it made its way back to you in the end.  Huge congrats!

Love all the color and detail here, and the inclusion of the jacket is pretty fun (though I have no idea what to call a punk Spider-Gwen... Gwen-Punk?).  Anyways, congrats!

Like you, I've never been a fan of Watchmen for the story or the art (though there are some pages with great emotional/visual storytelling, this one included).  The thing I do appreciate though is the intricate planning that went into the series, from the panel layouts to the way pages mirror each other.  That said, there's some good dramatic storytelling here plus the closeups along the diagonals, but I wouldn't have picked up on the tic tac toe O win.  Thanks for sharing!
