Stuntman 3, story page 8 Owner: Aaron N. Comment posted on 9/27/2021 Aaron, this is gorgeous. The figure movement....hell the movement, period, is flat-out wonderful, like some fisticuff ballet. The panel designs with all of that in-and-out movement...superb. Just curious: what makes you think it's Kirby's inks? They look like Simon to me, but then again, I've seen very little of Kirby's actual inks. Congrats! |

Such great magic all around. Do we know why it had to only go to Chicago? And that freckle lotion seems very...specific. Is that a parody of some then-well-known bottle? ![]() Glen, I think it says "Make July for Chicago". I'm not sure why the powers-that-be would want it to run a month later in Chicago, but I noticed that as well. |

Art Spiegelman - Maus Self-Portrait with Krazy Kat Owner: Rob Stolzer Comment posted on 2/15/2021
Steve Lipsky said:
Rob, I remember the first time I read Maus and how it moved me to tears. To own a piece like this is a rare and beautiful treat. I have met Art on several occasions and the closest I ever came to a treasure like this is the 2 sketches he did for me in Volumes 1 and 2 of the original Maus books. I imagine you still take this out and stare at it every once in a while. That's the beauty of true art--it never gets old. Congrats on owning a museum level piece of Spiegelman art! ![]() Thanks my friend. Actually, the piece is framed and hanging right smack above my desk, so I get to view it every day, multiple times. I'm still looking for my socks. |
