Amazing - I so do love this "pop art mashup" sub-section of Manix's art

I have such love for this piece.  I thought it was super cool when I saw it and met Manix & the Next crew at OAX 2024, but I now think of it as the earliest (known to me) example of my favorite Manix style - the comic art / pop art mash-up.  I may post mine if I ever quit my now two-year streak of lazy non-posting, but in the meantime, highest congrats! (Again, since I said the same thing to you in person at Heroes 2024).

Plus it's a nod to the great BWS Machine Man covers, but that's a whole separate reply and topic.

Still can't be beat.  It's fun to tour the CAF highlights every once in a while!

Great page - I have the horzontal page 1.  Mike said he originally thought he'd rearrange the horizontal panels to regualr comic pages, but quickly realized that didn't work for both physical and story/page reasons, and redrew it completely in the different format.   I should have bought this page when it was in fron of me in SD, but woulda coulda shoulda is the story of the hobby.  Huge congrats!

You've built a fabulous collection, and that bottom panel stands with any of the rest of the art.

Congrats on a great score!  I was snapping up GC pages from every felix drop starting with #2 (which wasn't a pre-announced drop - they evolved as a thing throughout the series) and was pretty bummed #6 was bought complete.  But whatcha gonna do - all I can say now is congrats on buying the book and also keeping it.  I look forward to seeing pages here some day.

Love that you have classic ones.  I got some from Mitch 10-ish years ago - nice, and more finished, but modern, with the women starting to be more elongated

Okay, sure.  And CAF will continue to be the home of vanilla "baller" comments on every piece of regardless of whether it's deserved or not.  I was trying to have an interesting discussion of some depth, but obviously this is not the place. 

Serious question, and I'm not trying to throw stones: don't you think this thing was hugely overpriced?  Did the fact that it was a donation play heavily in your decision?  You've got a great collection, and certainly could have gotten a number of pencil pieces for the same cost

What a talent - I still remember that first Heroescon I went to circa 1994-ish with you, Benny and Jim Warden.  The show was in a hotel, and the classic Gajin crew was all in a back corner with a low ceiling.
