I really love seeing the original of this!!  It was also used as a wrap-around cover for a 1938 issue of a Mexican magazine "Sucesos Para Todos".  I had not looked into what the image represented, so I am thankful knowing the English title.  Beautiful!

Frank Thorne doing Sci-fi?!  What's not to love?  While this character never really had a "stand-out" story, I felt that the character and her world that Frank created was genius.  I would have liked to see more (and perhaps someday we will).  Congrats on scoring a Lann page!

That's "pen and ink"?  It looks like pencil work with all that terrific shading.  Real nice!

WOW!  So much to "unpack" here.  You've got the brutality of a previous time evident with that incredible dressing cabinet "abandoned" in high desert while the progeny of that earlier generation have come together in order to discover new lands.

And I really like that the artist has left the color so light over those nice black ink brush strokes.  It has a very "Serpieri" vibe.

This is quite lovely.  A feeling of loose easy painting that can only come after years of practice.  And the scene is so tense.  Westerns are quite played out right now in the USA and don't get the love they deserve, but anyone can understand being in a vulnerable position while a potential enemy gets the "drop" on you!

I don't believe I've seen another photo of Godwin.  Really nice (yet too bad about the inset).
