The artist is Blas Gallego who was very prolific in the Uk throughout the 70s. I can't help thinking this was left over from that period- possibly intended for one of the comics he drew for such as Misty or Pink. This is the best page of the strip- I'm very jealous! |

Sanjulian has told me that with his early Vampi covers he would come up with the concept first and often, if Warren accepted the cover he'd commission a strip to be drawn later, based on the picture. But it was always the cover which came first- straight from his imagination. And what an imagination.... |

Goblin #3 (Warren Publications) Owner: Brian Peck Comment posted on 12/22/2012 A truly stunning illustration but not unpublished. It was used in a strip in Goblin #3. Basically Warren bought several illustrations from Nino, presumably all the plates from this unpublished portfolio and added some Lee Elias drawings on top of them to create a new strip. All of Nino's art is of this standard- really something to see. |

You are lucky to have a complete episode. Thank you Roy- I certainly am very fortunate to have found it since very little artwork from the Annuals has survived. Caprioli did quite a lot of work for Look and Learn around the same time as this page was drawn and those are much more pointiliste in their style. |
