A spectacular Schomburg WWII cover! It's hard to describe the feeling I get when I look at this piece on my wall - it just has so much presence in person. Schomburg's talent is truly something that transcends mere nostalgia.

This cover is a personal favorite and something that I regard as one of the very best pieces I own.

I'm not a Golden-Age guy at all but this has to be one of the nicest OA pieces i've ever seen from the entire period. Big Congrats Gene!

Love this cover! Not only is the composition superb, but the inking is stellar! I love Schomburg's brushwork, especially the way he handles clothing. I love all the details he puts into his work. Schomburg's stuff is always a pleasure to study. The more you look, the more you see.

It is always interesting to see Schomburgs over the top WW2 covers with all the complex internal action and then look at his later more staid science fiction art. It is hard to beleive we are looking at the same artist. Both are incredibly good though amazingly different.
