DescriptionThis just makes me happy. There are a few artists that I just can't seem to get enough of and classic Wrightson is one. This one just checks off ALL the boxes in what I would want in a great Swamp Thing image. I don't think a Wrightson Swamp Thing cover will ever be within reach but this will do just fine. I am looking for more great vintage Wrightson art so please contact me if you are thinking of letting something go.Social/Sharing |

These are tough to pry loose from collections! Great score! Very happy for you, Scott. I know how big a Wrightson fan you are, and these early issues are in some respects the cream of the entire OA hobby.

It's the unexpected visual comparison of the book's protagonist to a wrecked plane that launches this into the stratosphere of memorable splashes. I wonder whether the script or the visual came first?

This was the first Swamp Thing I picked up as a 9 year old kid. Stopped by the local pharmacy on our way to visit the Grandparents and saw this on the shelf. Needless to say, I was blow away. Enjoy your treasure!
