Description

Though primarily known as the cover artist for fiction house, Whitman did occasionally do interiors up till the mid-fifties. This is a fine example of Whitman's attention to detail and exquisite line work. Whitman certainly had a reputation of grabbing the reader's eye with his gorgeous covers through the 40s and 50s. Just a highly underrated artist from the golden age of comics.

Even without the signature(nicely spotted btw) this page breathes Whitman. Excellent example.

Wonderful page, Robbie! Proof positive that you didn't need somebody with a mask and a cape to make a good comic story.
