Description"I've done quite a bit of painting and illustration, but I guess I enjoy telling a story with pictures most of all. I've been trying to get effects that a good film does, such as in buildup of scene and characterizations. Of course, there's a difference, because an artist is telling his story with "stills." I like to vary my style from time to time, according to the script, or just to experiment." ~ Bernard KrigsteinSocial/Sharing |

Very nice, what month/year was this published? Thanks, Michael! Incredible Science Fiction #30 was the July/August 1955 issue, the first burdened with the Comics Code approval. Incredible Science Fiction was a retitled version of Weird Science-Fantasy, which ended with #29, as the hacks who initiated the Comics Code ensured that the word "Weird" could not be code approved... solely as an attack on EC. Weird Science-Fantasy was a merger of two previous comics, Weird Science and Weird Fantasy, which in turn were retitles (same numbering) of Saddle Romances and A Moon, A Girl... Romance. Ask a simple question, get a convoluted answer, eh? You probably already knew this stuff!

With all this PC BS gone wild! Thanks for the detailed explanation. Very interesting to lean about.
