The drawing is dated 1968, but appears to have been published (without the date) in the issue 6/1965 of Kajastus, a magazine about the issues of the visually impaired. This is an illustration for a short story titled "Jouluna puoli neljä". The caption of the image in the magazine is: "Pienintäkään naarmua ei voinut erottaa hangelle piirtyneenä." The tan tone of the paper appears to be done on purpose with some kind of varnish, or coating.
