DescriptionWith writer Cary Bates, Russ Heath worked on the almost forgotten THE LONE RANGER syndicated newspaper strip. The feature followed on the heels of the movie revival, The Legend of the Lone Ranger, and debuted in newspapers on September 13, 1981. The strip ran for two and a half years, ending on April 1, 1984. Russ is very fond of the work he did on these strips. Hopefully one day it will get a reprint edition. It certainly deserves one.This particular sequence featuring Tonto helping rescue The Lone Ranger is dated 12-09 and was published in 1981. The size of the strip is: 5 12/16 x 17 1/2.
