Description

I had a chance to commission Whilce Portacio before he visited Japan for the International Manga Festival and, for some reason, I remembered Whilce's Legion of the Night book. I gave him the choice of doing either Man-Thing or Fin Fang Foom and I got this great new artwork in the deal. I was helping out the foreign artists in the artists' alley and, even though he was quite busy throughout the day, I got a chance to chat with him a bit (and, even though he had a couple people assisting him, to help him out a little bit as well). He told me he really enjoyed working on FFF and was inspired by Walter Simonson's version from his Thor run.

Wow what a scary looking Fin Fang Foom.I think it's a good idea to give an artist a choice on how/who to create.Some of the more inspired creations come from letting artists play!Congratulations Tim.
