M.W. Kaluta's The Lone Ranger

"Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear. From out of the past come the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver. The Lone Ranger rides again!"

This was not planned, but a friend who needed some money to acquire another piece of art offered me this nice little Kaluta pen drawing he got at a convention in the early oughts. While the Lone Ranger is not the first character that would pop into my head were I given the chance to ask Mr. Kaluta to draw something for me, and while I already have and treasure a penciled drawing Mr. Kaluta did for me back in the '80s, I guess a collection can't have too many Kalutas. Also, it always made me smile when I saw it in my friend's collection so I said okay.

Plus, the Lone Ranger is not without its nostalgic pull. In the '70s, I often watched reruns of the Clayton Moore & Jay Silverheels TV show after school. So, ""Hi-Yo, Silver!"
