Description

This. This is the one. My first piece of original artwork, purchased in 1989 at a convention in Chicago from some forgotten dealer.

Had I known then what a slippery slope I was stepping out onto...well... The ridiculously early queuing up outside of convention halls and the near pathological stalking of artists. The mad dash from the mailbox to the telephone with the latest CBG or Graphic Collectibles catalog in hand. Maxing out the credit card, promising to be more fiscally responsible in the near future but knowing in my heart that what I really meant was a month or two of subsistence living on ramen noodles and Kraft mac & cheese.

*sigh* Good times-!

Thanks, Arthur! I really can't think of a better start. And although it hasn't always been "easy", it was--and remains--a helluva lot of fun.

I used to love the way he posed wolverine charging at the reader. Great piece.
