Description

Meant as a cover for "The Quest for the Missing Memories", but used as an illustration to open the chapter in the US publication while in Greece it was published as cover (see additional images), a series of 8 stories where Mickey initially loses his identity only to gain it back one piece per episode, written by Francesco Artibani and illustrated by 8 different Disney Italian artists, to celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday.

Stefano Intini illustrated one of these stories, "The Spring of Time", where Mickey lives an unusual adventure together with Scrooge McDuck. It begins in a junk shop where Mickey buys a small statue that's a piece of a treasure hunt (and when there's a treasure hunt, there's Scrooge McDuck, even if he's uninvited).
A story that starts in the city only to later shift into exotic landscapes.
And, yes, as you can guess, Mickey's missing piece that he got back in this episode was the "adventure".

The piece itself is beautifully composed, showing Mickey, Scrooge, and also the villain. I particularly find the inking fantastic as well as the characters' design (but you probably already know I love Intini's rendition of Disney characters).

Published in IDW's "Mickey Mouse - The Quest for the Missing Memories" book as well as Μίκυ Μάους #483 cover.
