Description

(Hanna-Barbera) Tom and Jerry debuted in 1940 and has continued into the present day in various forms.

From 1963-1967 animation legend Chuck Jones produced the series, modifying the look of the cartoon, and bringing his Looney Tunes sensibilities with him.

This 4 cel setup on its key hand-painted background features Jerry trying to help protect Goldie the fish from Tom's relentless attacks. It's from the theatrical short "Filet Meow" which debuted June 30, 1966 during Chuck Jones' tenure on the show.

Interestingly, the cel code that is hand-written in the bottom right hand corner can be seen during the cartoon if you look closely (it was framed in-camera by mistake).
