Description

Feeling rejected by Valkyrie earlier in the issue, Nighthawk is cheered up by an unexpected visit from a former flame, Trixie (Trish) Starr. Any potential rekindling of that flame was well and truly ruined when Trish succumbs to the Headmen�s Black Rain, which induces uncontrollable frenzy. It�s as much as Nighthawk can do to stop her from throwing herself fifty stories to the street below (although the �drastic action� of slapping a woman is an incongruous inclusion in the plot, unpleasantly harking back to tropes of female hysteria).

Many thanks to Lee Benaka for selling me this dramatic page. It�s a real joy to find a page from a Headmen story, even though they don�t make an appearance here. Sal�s scene of panic and madness in the last panel is fantastic.
