DescriptionThis page is from Fight Comics #32 published by Fiction House in June 1944. Our heroine, the spy Senorita Rio is sent on mission to Marajo Island at the mouth of the Amazon River. This is World War II and our narrators tell us of a suspicious number of Germans coming to the area. Fear of Nazi activity has Rio posing as an artist to investigate Father Mark, a German missionary on the island.Nice illustration by Arnold Hicks (who possibly inked the work as well). Always difficult to know for certain but it is certainly his style. Purchased this artwork from CAF member Gianluca Bellisaro, who shipped it perfectly from Italy to the U.S. Thank you so much for the help with my collection! Social/Sharing |
