Description

The Manners family explain the strange behaviour of their daughter, Melissa, who Daimon Hellstrom has found to be responsible for burning Dr Wilfred Nobel�s house to the ground. Quickly, Daimon determines that Melissa has been possessed (perhaps by observing what comic book he is in). The fabulous backstory top panel shows Melissa�s transformation under possession, in a scene straight from �The Exorcist� (which came out the year before this issue). The moody lower panel of Daimon, explaining possession to be the cause of the transformation, is lent an air of theatrical menace by the narrow focus on his steely gaze. A great �cinematic� page from Colan.

Congrats on another great Son of Satan page!! I loved Gene's SOS work!! Too bad he was just on the two issues from the Marvel Spotlight series (plus Howard the Duck 13 and 14, Tomb of Dracula 53) for Daimon Hellstrom artwork.
